1. I like the web-site, but I think there is room for improvement. It would be very helpful to be able to see when you have finished the activities, if it would actually show that it has been completed. It is very difficult knowing where you left off. I also think the Farsi Font needs to be much bigger than it is. Some of them are very difficult to read.

I was born in Iran and lived a total of 10 years in Iran. My father is Persian and my mother is Austrian. I read, speak and write three languages fluently, but this course was a good refresher course for me. I left Iran when I was 13 and I am 57 now. I had not utilized the reading or writing for the past 44 years.

The website made the process of learning the alphabet fun and interesting, which kept me enthusiastic about learning a new language. The website in my opinion is the best way to learn the Persian language fast.

I liked the website, it could use an option to slow down the speech, but other than that, everything was straightforward and easy to learn. I like that the Talk Like A Persian website is equipped with various resources and activities that comprehensively teach Persian. I have taken the Alphabet and Beginner courses, and as of now have been learning Persian for about 4 months. There is a story theme that follows a girl named Leila as she travels in Iran. I find this doubly useful because learners get to learn about the Persian language as well as cultural norms. Lessons I’ve covered are good introductory phrases and concepts such as how to introduce myself, ask questions, and make conversation. The videos were helpfully broken down to understand the wording and ordering in a sentence. The activities range as you go through the lessons. I noticed that as you continue through lessons older topics are mixed in a little. Talk like a Persian is a good website to learn Farsi. The alphabet lesson was clear and easy to learn. I like how we can go back and correct an answer we have given if it was incorrect. There were 15 lessons and they were fairly quick lessons, each one took me about 15 minutes to do so. When it came down to the movie section of the website I think the most useful thing was the captions and the narrative. The captions helped us follow the movie and video and the narrater helped us understand how to say them correctly. With talk like Persian website you have access to everything the website offers. You have access to lessons and small quizzes/assignments after. It is easy to follow the website, I just wish that the grading was in order of lessons and not the times you have done them. Overall it is a very easy website to navigate and the lessons were easy to follow. After every lesson that you have there are questions and assignments that you can answer to check your knowledge and what you have learned. My experience was decent with the website. I would recommended to people who want to learn Farsi. However; the website did have many small problems. There were some grammar and spelling problems, there were also times that you would put the correct answer however it would count it as incorrect. I would recommend the website to people who are already a little familiar with the language so they could get passed these small problems. If they were to fix these problems and work a bit more on it then I would think it is a good website to learn Farsi with.

This website was well made, it helped to understand what sentences go with the others. I did like the activities and I thought they were beneficial.
However there were small problems with the site. For example when you had to drag the words to put in spaces if it was not all the way on the space it wouldn’t give you the credit. Also first time that I used the website after doing the first pages of activities I didn’t know how to go to the next page and it did take me a minute to figure it out. If they had a box on the bottom saying NEXT it would have been better.

The Talk Like a Persian Website was very beneficial as the learner can go back and review the videos and lessons as much as possible. Learning a new language takes a lot of time and practice and Talk Like a Persian allows you to enhance your ability. I liked the activities feature the most because it offered a challenge by presenting a variety of different exercises that can be applied in real world situations. I found the experience rewarding because I am now much better at the Persian language. I do not have any suggestions for the website, it is pretty straight forward. The feature I really like about the website are the instructional videos when learning how to read, speak, and write the Persian alphabet. Three benefits of the talk like a Persian website include activities, video lessons, and alphabet chart. I found learning Persian to be a very interesting experience. I love the language, architecture, culture, and history of Iran. One improvement I would have to incorporate for this website is to include more transliterations, or even, how to convert English words into Persian words. Overall, I would highly recommend this website to non Persian speakers and Persian speakers because it is a good website to learn a new language or help fluent speakers improve their literacy.

This website was very helpful with teaching me about Persian grammar. I really enjoyed that you can go back to the lesson and the activities and redo them as many times as you want. The three things that I liked the most were the repetition of conversations throughout the activities, the conversations that were read aloud to us, and the video clips. At the beginning I was really worried about learning a new language. Many people told me it is really difficult to learn a new language.
