Personal pronouns are used in place of nouns referring to names of persons , places or things. These pronouns in Persian may function as subject or object or possessive pronouns. As personal pronouns we use them at the beginning of the sentence like English subject pronouns. The second-person singular تو “to” You is used for God, close friends and small children. شما “shomâ” You which is the second-person plural can be used to refer to the second-person singular when you want to show more respect toward someone such as your teacher or doctor and also for second-person plural.
